Acrylic Bird Sculpture

Colour caught in clear acrylic, cut into the shape of a bird. The block picks up whatever light falls on the shelf and throws it back tinted.

• Cast acrylic: light passes through the body rather than stopping at it, so the colour shifts as you move past the shelf.
• Five arrangements: a single bird for a small ledge, or a flock of five to carry a longer sideboard.
• Twenty five centimetres tall: enough presence to work alone, and light enough to sit on a floating shelf.
• No upkeep: acrylic does not tarnish or fade the way a painted finish does, and a dry cloth is all it asks for.

Build the flock over time, or take the group of five in one go for a single strong grouping.
